A small gathering on Saturday 12th May 2012 for a joint shoot amongst the Royal Company of Archers and the B.L.B.S members. It was a super day for the job sunshine and wind. The wind proved a little difficult as the arrows sped towards the clout. The first flush of Scottish strawberries went down a treat
Great clarity on that one Frank, I just bought a new Fuji bridge camera and hoping to try it out when over to the west of Scotland soon for a wee break with the family. Hope the weather is as good as it looks there :-)
Yes we had beautiful mothers day weather down in Selkirk cool but the sun shone bright and clear. This event was at the waterwheel cafe on the Yarrow to Selkirk road and very sucessful for the Ettrick Forest Archers come and try.
Should have added here's to some great photo's from your new Fuji
Thanks Gordon
Thanks for the like Diane hope this is one of many.
Pleasure Frank, hope so too.
Thanks Bjorn
A snap from my compact camera while I was out with the dog. I think the blackness of the trees causes a bit of atmosphere!
Very dramatic, and what a gorgeous sky!
On road for a coffee break but the cafe was shut what a disappointment after seeing this never mind Innerleithan got our pennies
A few that passed the lens today
This was a super night guid music and guid dancing Nancy made a super job of calling
Here's a funny story, a friend of a friend was doing a seminar at Glasgow university about biodiversity in the west end and he was trying to represent how people should make use of window boxes for bee pollination, only, he ended up with my brother in the photo. Funny!
Nice shot, where is that ?
Mugdock country park?
Sorry, I realise I should have said where I was. It's not Mugdock Park, it's the view from my neighbours front door (he has a huge garden). I had walked up to make sure he was ok (elderly chap) and was about to set off back to my house. I'll post a view from my house in a second.
I live & work in Glasgow during the week but at weekend I live in the middle of … nowhere in the Scottish Borders (7 miles outside Hawick)More
Looks and sounds way nice
Wow i'm jealous, we didn't get any snow in Edinburgh! It looks beautiful!
In the absence of a *like* button for replies....
Thanks for the comments :-)

A very misty riverside walk in Glasgow City centre
As promised, this is the view from my house out over the valley -- obviously it's snowing! The second image is the same view last weekend :-)
neat :)
Out walking the dog and snapped this. Loved the reflection in the water of the "Squiggly bridge" in Glasgow
Hi, just thought i would introduce myself. My names Alex and i'm from Renfrewshire. I recently got a new bridge camera which i have been experimenting with. Not yet ready for the expense of DSLR.
Welcome Alex, don't hesitate to get in touch with we can help with anything.
Hi Alex, and welcome. I look forward to seeing some of your work. I love looking at other peoples photos. I must make an effort and upload a few of mine. Happy snapping :-)
Welcome, Alex! These bridge cameras are brilliant these days - i've read a lot about bridge cameras with better lenses than entry-level DSLR's. Loving your shots so far!
Thanks everyone. I'm very happy to be here.
Walked part of the way home from work.
Nice, it that near Clydebank?
Renfrew, at the White Cart Bridge.
This was yesterday, Botanic Gardens in Glasgow at 4.30pm. Interesting shades of pink. The park has traditionally closed at Sunset for years now, so I was lucky to get this just before the park closed.
You are killing with these sunset shots, they are all beautiful!
Glasgow Skyline 5pm yesterday
An oldie from me, this was Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow, about 10 days before Christmas.
This is beautiful and so bleak, Björn!
