Just back from the Dumfries launch of YES Scotland.

80+ people turned up which aint too bad for where we are and what we are fighting against.

Interesting wee snippet though.

Apparently there have been a few debates organised to held between the Better Together crowd and the YES campaign. They never happened. Why?

The debates never happened because Alistair Darling is feart of going up against Blair Jenkins.

What other conclusion can anyone deduce from the fact that as soon as Blair's name is mentioned as representing the YES campaign the Better camp withdraw their representative.

Attempts have even been made to circumnavigate the YES organization by approaching individual YES board members directly rather than approaching the YES organization to request a YES Scotland representative.

As I said above the Better camp are feart.
They are feart of Blair Jenkins.
They are feart because they have no one who has any stature at all to stand up against the YES Scotland campaign team.

Feartie is as feartie does!

Well folks today's the day!

This afternoon I'm off to Dumfries.

There is a wee rumour that there is some group or other having a wee gathering in the Easterbrook Hall at the Crichton Campus in Dumfries.

What wee group I hear you say.

Oh, it's only the inaugural meeting of the YES Scotland Dumfries branch that's all.

Nothing to get overly excited about. :D

HAUD ME BACK!

Looking forward to seeing how many turn up to the meeting.

I see the Edinburgh inaugural branch meeting achieved 300 on Thursday night.

Wow, I think this Independence thingy might just be ready for take off! :D

Finally!

We are about to get a new radio station on air.
YESonair goes live in a couple of weeks and will cover just about everything about what's going on in the world of pushing the YES campaign. Here is a quotes from their website.

"But what is Yes OnAir? Well that's simple to explain. Our site is the front-end to our exclusive Radio Station which aims to bring you interesting, fun and informative shows and podcast downloads about everything and anything to do with the support of the Yes Campaign for an Independent Scotland."

http://rki.lt/SxU4t8

Only time will tell but I'm extremely hopeful about this station doing the business. Now it is up to us to spread the word. Come on folks get those links working!

And so the lies and scaremongering continues.
An independent Scotland will not be a member of the E.U.

Is that right Bubba?
Well cast your een o'er this then!

http://rki.lt/TX1iLv

This a government document, NOT S.N.P., NOT Scottish Government but WESTMINSTER government document. In this document you can plainly read the concept that an Independent Scotland would NOT be ejected from the R.U. in fact quite the opposite. A speeded up process would ensue to ensure that an Independent Scotland would retain her place within the E.U.

In fact the document highlights 5 basic points about an Independent Scotland within the E.U., here they are:

Arrangements for Scotland’s EU membership would need to be in place simultaneously with independence

· Scotland’s 5 million people, having been members of the EU for 40 years; have acquired rights as European citizens

· For practical and political reasons they could not be asked to leave the EU and apply for readmission

· Negotiations on the terms of membership would take place in the period between the referendum and the planned date of independence

· The EU would adopt a simplified procedure for the negotiations, not the traditional procedure followed for the accession of non-member countries

All five of these points answer quite clearly ANY pathetic argument that is put forward by the unionists. Their "not in the E.U." argument is dead. It has sunk below the waves without trace!

Any one considering voting NO in 2014 might want to watch this wee video and then at the end of it answer YES or NO.

As far as I'm concerned this view of the Independence debate lays it out in probably the simplest and easiest of terms.

Blair Jenkins certainly puts the points across well. It would be very interesting to see if any pollster would ask 1000 Scots the questions that Blair has and see what the results would be.....

Lesley-Anne Mclelland 6 months ago

Aye you're right there Tam. The problem is that no one will. We need to get this sort of video out there to the masses. As you say he gets his point across very well indeed. I don't think there are very many people in Scotland who, when asked this question, would say YES. This being the case you have to ask yourself why would these same people vote no in 2014.

In my view Blair's question shoots dirty big holes right through the heart of the unionist's campaign. Right from the get go they have not had a single positive thing to say about the union and this argument from Blair just sinks them without trace in my view.

Anyone who is pro Independence and is free on Saturday 22nd September may want to have a look at this. I am sure if you can't get there yourself you will know others who can help swell the numbers.

A pro Independence march is scheduled to take place in Edinburgh. Let's hope the weather stays fair.

This guy loves seeing his name in the papers. He's certainly gone way too far with his choice of words here, though.

Lesley-Anne Mclelland about a year ago

Just his standard xenophobic assessment of Alex Salmond and the Scots in general I think.
All I will say is Gawd help him if he ever steps foot across the border.:D

Michael Shedden about a year ago, Glasgow, Scotland

David Starkey is a truly horrible man. He is on TV far too often in my opinion. I think the BBC put him on the panel on Question Time just because of the reaction he causes. I don't think they should give his sort a platform.

Michael Shedden about a year ago, Glasgow, Scotland

And calling anyone "a Hitler" is a bit rich coming from a nasty little Nazi like him.

Apparently he is a historian, allegedly. Personally I think he is just a VERY sad, ignorant, odious, pathetic, excuse for a human being.

Brilliant isn't it just the truth. I think something was mentioned on Radio Scotland that one of the newspapers had published a repost that showed a map of Southern England. On it was those well known landmarks such as Snoblands and Hooray Henry Hill.

Annie Harrower-gray about a year ago

No good can't remember which. I was tucking into my full Scottish breakfast, organic eggs, Ayrshire bacon, fruit pudding, beans and tattie scone.
No doubt somebody at Westminster will have seen it as they ate their supermarket eggs, processed bacon and fatty black pudding. Sorry guys, we'll never be skint as long as we when we have such wonderful produce.
