Ok, so who would be interested in getting a Kiltr Artists' ExhibitIon up and running? Any input welcome, what do people think?
I reckon it could be a great platform to promote Scottish artists, Kiltr, Kiltr's partners and Scotland's creative talents....Your input folks, please!
I think that sounds fantastic!
Inspirational idea Julie. Happy to collaborate.
Good stuff....official Kiltr people: what do you think?
It's a good idea. Needs a number to give it traction so details can be sorted. I'm happy to help if needed.
Stephen
Brilliant you have my support.
Let me discuss this with the team on Monday, Julie. In principle, though, I think it sounds like a great idea!
Excellent idea. Is your idea to host the exhibition both on the Kiltr site and in a traditional venue? I have noticed some material posted rather haphazardly using YouTube and other modes on this site, so the technology seems to be there to collate some kinds of creative artefacts here.
Will be nice to find a place.....what about ask to the fashion expert Adam Waite, his just open a beautiful showroom in the old whisky bond on Washington Street....
Loving the enthusiasm! Was just a wee idea, hardly formed, floating around my head and I thought I would put it out there and see what sort of response it got. Glad to see others can see potential.
Early days; all suggestions welcome. I hadn't thought much down logistical lines as yet...
Still think that fashion and art are matching well together.
Right... I need to get thinking on this one - been stupidly hectic this week, but planning on submitting a wee proposal to the Kiltr bosses shortly.
If you need any art work, i'm there. sounds like a good idea.
Great idea I'm in :-)
Thanks for the input, folks. A brain-storming meeting is in the offing with Kiltr peoples, so watch this space :)
Hi Julie,
I'm up for it
In an' all...
Great idea. The Lighthouse are looking for idea around exhibitions at the moment I believe having recently appointed a new curator. Could be a good venue. Happy to get in touch with them; or could open that up to the community?
Delighted at the positive response from everyone. I believe we can make a success of this. Spoken with Bjorn at Kiltr today, and it's agreed we probably need to find a suitable venue first. So Andy, your suggestion of The Lighthouse is well-timed! I'm going to sumbit an open proposal on Kiltr within the next few days, outlining the exhibition idea more concretely. This should help us to generate interest from potential venues/ sponsors/etc. watch this space!
Great, keep us all posted!
Fantastic idea! Any initiative supporting Scotland's creative communities and individuals is worth supporting. Count me in.
Yeah, good things in the pipeline, it won't happen over night but I think we can put together something really cool.
Right-o. Sorry for the delay. I've set up an invite-by request group in order to get this idea off the ground and provide a space to discuss logistics, etc.

See you over there :)More
I must be having a really cerebrally challenged day - I just cannot work out how to post under specific groups and not just a general status update for myself! Help?
OK, for the Kiltr visual artists out there - how many of you would be interested in creating an exhibition opportunity for yourselves? Could we harness the power of Kiltr to put on an arts event which not just promotes us artists but Kiltr also?
Input from all corners welcome! Kiltr peoples - what do you think?
