Whilst working on this exhibition 'Encounter', I was experimenting the possibilities of gunpowder in the way it can be applied in my art. One method was exploring the use of gunpowder as a pigment oil colour which required me to make from scratch like the Old Masters. That technique was applied in this large scale piece 'Emperor of the Tay' which symbolist the importance of fishes in the Scottish wild life.

'Emperor of the Tay' is on show in my solo exhibition at Perth Museum & Art Gallery until 6th May.
